This SKILLs Session will cover paediatric musculoskeletal presentations and will focus on supporting the management of common conditions in primary care, and when to consider referral on to specialist services.
In this session, we will:

Identify how paediatric MSK issues manifest across age groups.

Review key differences in anatomy and diagnostic approaches.

Describe how to manage common paediatric conditions within primary care

Highlight potential "red flags" and navigate referral pathways.
Meet the speaker

Dr. Sharmila Jandial is a consultant paediatric rheumatologist at the Great North Children's Hospital and works as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care for children and young people with inflammatory conditions across the North of England.
She has an interest in education and training and is the current Chair of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Specialist Advisory Committee for paediatric rheumatology and Head of Professional Practise for the MBBS programme at Newcastle University.
